Welcome to the LGBTQ+ Community Music Program
Music brings people together—and everyone has a place in our ensemble.
Welcome to our LGBTQ+ Community Music Program, a welcoming and inclusive space where LGBTQ+ musicians and allies can come together, build community, share their passion for music, and create something extraordinary together.
Our Mission
To provide a space for LGBT+ (and ally!) musicians to come together and engage with one another through the art of instrumental music. Our ensembles will not only serve as a welcoming place for musicians to share their passions, but will strive to achieve high-quality performances that inspire audiences and make a lasting impact throughout the suburban community.
All Instruments. All Experience Levels. Everyone Welcome.
Whether you play strings, woodwinds, brass, percussion, or another instrument, you are welcome here. Our program is open to musicians of all backgrounds and experience levels. We envision opportunities for a variety of ensembles, including orchestra, concert band, chamber music, jazz, marching ensembles, bagpipe and drum, and more.
We ask that musicians have the ability to sight-read music so rehearsals can be productive and enjoyable for everyone. However, we know that life happens, and many talented musicians have stepped away from their instruments for a while.
If you haven’t played in years, but want to get back into music, we’d love to have you! This is a place to pick up your instrument, refresh your skills, rebuild your confidence, and rediscover the joy of making music with others. You don’t have to be at the top of your game—you just need the desire to play and be part of the community.
Our goal is to create more than great music. We are building a community where people can connect, express themselves, develop their musical talents, gain confidence, and celebrate who they are.
Bring your instrument. Bring your passion. Bring your authentic self.
Dust off that instrument, come make music with us, and find your place in our community!
