Transformative Justice Law Project

Transformative Justice Law Project offers free legal services to transgender, non-binary and gender expansive Illinois residents. With increased need following the election and inauguration, TJLP can use your support to assist trans folks to file their legal name and gender marker changes. In 2024, we served over 950 people, which was an increase of over 300 in just one year. We do this all with an incredibly small team and need more assistance to keep up with the volume.
